Ingredients

For Marinating the Salmon:

  • Salmon pieces cut into bite-size chunks
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cloves of garlic grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon kitchen king masala or garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder

For Coating:

  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour Maida

For Sauce:

  • 5 tablespoons tomato ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1/2 onion finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon oil

Instructions

Marinating and Coating:

  • In a bowl, combine the oil, salt, grated garlic, kitchen king masala (or garam masala), black pepper powder, and turmeric powder to make the marinade.
  • Add the salmon pieces to the marinade and mix well to coat them. Allow them to marinate for about 30-60 minutes.

Cooking the Salmon:

  • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Lightly coat the marinated salmon pieces with all-purpose flour (maida). This will help create a crispy coating when baking.

Baking the Salmon:

  • Place the coated salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil. Make sure they are not too crowded, allowing them to cook evenly.
  • Bake the salmon in the preheated oven for about 30-40 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy. You can flip them halfway through cooking for even browning.

Preparing the Sauce:

  • In the same pan, add a teaspoon of oil and heat it over medium heat.
  • Add the finely chopped onion and sauté until it becomes translucent.
  • Add the minced garlic and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
  • Mix in the tomato ketchup, Sriracha sauce, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and oyster sauce. Stir well to combine.
  • Allow the sauce to simmer for a few minutes until it thickens slightly.

Coating the Salmon with Sauce:

  • Gently place the cooked salmon pieces into the pan with the sauce.
  • Carefully toss the salmon pieces in the sauce to coat them evenly.

Serving:

  • Transfer the Salmon Manchurian to a serving dish.
  • Garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro, if desired.
  • Serve the Salmon Manchurian as an appetizer or as a main course with rice or noodles.
  • Enjoy your flavorful and spicy Salmon Manchurian!
